5 Underrated Ice Cream Flavors

We all have our favorite flavors. Chocolate, Strawberry, and Cookies and Cream tend to rank pretty high on our list of favorite ice cream flavors. But don’t you ever get tired of eating the same desserts over and over again? Eventually there comes a time when you have to be adventurous and try something new. Here at FYI, we encourage our guests to try flavors that they have never experienced before. Here are some flavors in our ice cream selection that we personally feel are a little too underrated.

Chocolate covered cherries

This one might seem odd, but it really isn’t if you think about it. There are plenty of flavors that mix different tastes together. For instance, there is chocolate peanut butter, pecan pie and cream, and cherry vanilla. So why not go for chocolate covered cherries as the next big thing?

Rum Raisin

This one ought to be a cult classic. This treat takes delicious raisins and mixes them through the rum and cream for spectacular effect.

Birthday Cake

It might sound crazy, but Birthday cake ice cream can potentially be the right amount of crazy for your taste buds. If, for whatever reason, you cannot have birthday cake and ice cream together, you could always cut out the middle-man and go straight for this delicious combination.

Cotton Candy

The sweet flavor you find in cotton candy does not have to come exclusively from the fluffy dessert. Cotton candy ice cream mixes the flavor into a creamy texture for a whole new kind of sensation.

Why don’t enough people talk about this one? Coconut is wildly popular as a flavor on its own (especially among desserts). Now what coconut lover could resist tasting that flavor among all of the other fruit-based ice cream options?

No matter if you prefer to have the popular or the obscure tastes, there are plenty of options to choose from. If you still can’t decide between one flavor and the other, then there is always the option to mix the two together. Part of having fun is experimentation. And we at FYI know that as long as you are having fun, then we have completed our job.
